This year, SHI offered to retreat participants several unique opportunities to meet Marco Nunez and Don Martin Pinedo. During the course of the week scores of participants selected events to tailor their retreat experience. SHI created a menu of social, healing and educational events to personalize our interactions and work with Marco and Don Martin. Arrival
After rest and refreshment from their long journey to the United States, Paul Marco and Don Martin visited the Museum of the Native American and enjoyed Washington DC’s most beautiful cherry blossoms.

Don Martin, Marco Nunez and Paul journeyed to Takoma Park Chapel to offer 70+ attendees a Workshop on Andean Medicine. Don Martin conducted a coca leaf reading from a world perspective and answered questions. Don Martin, Marco and Paul provided a blessing from pachamama to the attendees. |

60+  people met our guest shamans from Peru at the Welcoming Reception for theShamans Grand Opening of the Peruvian Market. Guests met Marco and don Martin, enjoyed live music, singing and refreshments. The Peruvian Market was ceremoniously opened with a special blessing from Don Martin. Saturday, April 1, 2006
Mesa Carriers attended a daylong Mesa Carrier’s Retreat which deepened their understanding of their connection to their mesa. New information was provided about healing the self and others. Mesa Carriers engaged the shadow self in ahealing way. The afternoon water ceremony and Karpay were particularly beautiful and special for all Mesa Carriers. Sunday, April 2, 2006
Participants attended a Daylong Medicine People’s Retreat in which they learned about Andean Cosmology, EnergyMedicine and Participated in ceremonies including Despacho.
